Aromatherapy

Aromatherapy is a therapy using essential oils, which have been distilled using flowers, leaves, twigs, resins, citrus fruits, herbs and seeds. Essential oils have therapeutic qualities due to their high concentration. They are diluted with a carrier oil for massage. Many conditions can be treated with aromatherapy including asthma, arthritis, aches and pains, colds and flu, cystitis, constipation, insomnia, stress, tension and mental fatigue. Treatments can take up to 1 ¼ hours depending on each individual case; can be continued at home and mixed for your own special requirements such as bath treatment, body creams and massage oils. You don't need to be ill or feeling low to enjoy the benefits of a massage. Even the fittest healthiest person will soon be relaxed and revitalised by a full body massage.

Hopi Ear Candles

Ear candles are an ancient natural therapy for maintaining and restoring ear hygiene. Handed down to us by the Hopi Indians of North America, a people with extensive traditional knowledge of healing techniques. They are a gentle and painless method of removing impurities for the ear using natural ingredients.

Hopi Ear Candles - useful in the treatment of:

  • Excessive or compacted ear wax
  • Irritations in the ears or sinuses, pressure headaches, migraine, sinusitis, catarrh and rhinitis
  • Noises in the ear - such as tinnitus
  • Some cases of hearing impairment
  • Local activation of the lymph and metabolic process
Hand Crafted - Hopi Ear Candles are carefully handmade to a traditional formula. The finest extracts of beeswax, organically grown flax and Indian therapuetic herbs such as sage, St John's wort and camomile are used to ensure a consistent high quality. Some slight variation in colour or length of candles are usual. This is an indication of craftmanship and an expected feature of an all-natural product.

The use of hot stones for massage dates back more than 300 years and has had a recent resurgence as a deeply relaxing and therapeutic treatment.
It combines heat therapy with aromatherapy and massage to produce, in the client, a sense of relaxation and restfulness. Hot basalt stones are incorporated in a whole body massage sequence, focusing on the chakras and meridians, and the body is re-energised and balanced.

Swedish Body Massage

Although a single massage will be enjoyable, the effects of massage are cumulative and a course of massage treatments will bring the most benefits. Regular massage can have the effect of strengthening and toning the entire body mechanism, and so prevent unnecessary strains and injuries that might otherwise occur due to excess tension and any resulting structural weakness. Massage can stimulate or calm the nervous system - depending on what is required by the individual. Massage is one of the oldest, simplest forms of therapy and is a system of stroking, pressing and kneading different areas of the body to relieve pain, relax, stimulate and tone the body. Massage does a lot more than create a pleasant sensation of the skin, it also works on the soft tissues (the muscles, tendons and ligaments) to improve muscle tone. Massage also stimulates blood circulation and assists the lymphatic system (which runs parallel to the circulatory system), improving the elimination of waste throughout the body.
